A performance of the winning script of our response writing competition

Thanks to funding by Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, Alphabetti Theatre will be running a writing competition for writers to see their work professionally produced and they get paid. Watch Fixing during its first week, then you have until the end of the week to write a 10-minute play for a chance to win £500 and have it professionally performed. Open to all writers over 16.

Lydia trained as a performer at Newcastle College, Trinity Laban & Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS). Lydia loves new work, and is very excited to direct a response piece.
She is currently directing Into the Woods for Perth Theatre and The Snow Queen at RCS. Directing credits include: The Curve (Ayr Gaiety), Saturday’s Doon the J.M (Dundee Rep), 15 Buccleuch Place (RCS). As assistant director, she has worked on Armour: A Herstory of the Scottish Bard (Oran Mor).

Amy-Rose (They/She) is a queer neurodiverse Actor Musician from the North East, who recently graduated from Leeds Conservatoire. They are a multi-instrumentalist, with roots in songwriting and a passion for new work, writing and storytelling.
Recent credits include Grey in Treasure Island (Directed by Tom Bellerby) and Brad in Vernon Godlittle (Directed by Lucy Betts). This will be Amy-Rose’s first professional credit post-graduation. They’re excited to get involved in the theatre scene in their hometown.
